While the Kelce family was popular already, the new heights of media attention due to Travis’ relationship with Taylor Swift were something they had never experienced before.

It seems that the attention has also found its way to Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole. On Thursday, Nicole took to social media to address ‘haters’ who have been after her.

She posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), “I’m unproblematic. Mind my business. Never respond to the constant vitriol. Solid as they come & don’t expect a pat on the back for it either.”

She went on, “Just know everyone has a breaking point & would love for ‘yall’ (because you know exactly who you are) to leave me alone.”

The tweet came just a few hours after Taylor Swift released her highly anticipated 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Nicole and Kelce dated for quite a while, from 2017 to May 2022, when they called it quits. Once the relationship between Swift and Kelce became public in late 2023, it seems some fans of Swift took to flooding Nicole’s social media with GIFs and rude comments. She first took to her Instagram, talking about the “embarrassment” and “backlash” that has come her way.

When the news of Kelce’s romance with Swift first made headlines in October 2023, Nicole said in a media interview that she had been going to therapy after a ‘major breakup’ and was focusing on her mental health. She also posted a letter to her Instagram titled “Dear Black Girl.”

Before the letter, Nicole said, “it’s always been really important for me to use my platform not to create division but to elevate and unite women, Black women specifically.”

It seems now, Nicole has had enough of the vitriol being sent her way by those supporting Kelce’s new relationship.
