Celebrity Moms Who Have Extended Breastfeeding For Years

One of the subjects that seems to get a lot of attention, and not always on the positive side, is the topic of breastfeeding. It’s completely natural and in a way that mothers are not only able to feed the babies, they bond with them as well.

Most mothers will feed their children for a few months or perhaps a year or so after they are born. There are some others, however, who decide to extend the time and that includes the celebrities we have for you below.

1. Mayim Bialik

As an actress and author, she is well known on the screen but she also is a mother behind the screen with her son Fred. She nursed him for four years and three months, saying that there were a lot of nutritional benefits and some challenges that went with it as well.

2. Thandiwe Newton

This actress and mother has three children and she still is breast-feeding her 2-year-old. She considers it to be a moment of perfect happiness, saying that her body was made for that purpose.

3. Nelly Furtado

This singer had a daughter in 2003 and breastfed her for two years. She said that once she stopped breastfeeding, she had more energy and wanted other mothers to try it for themselves.

4. Nikki Reed this actress and her husband had a child in 2017.

They weren’t sure how long they would breastfeed but she continued until the baby was 20 months old.

5. Selma Blair

This actress had a baby at the age of 40 and captured a moment of breastfeeding when he was two years old. She supports public breastfeeding.

6. Danica McKellar

Her son was breastfed until he was 2 1/2 years old. She feels that you should choose how long to breastfeed personally and get the child involved. Do what works best for you.

7. Bekah Martinez

You may remember her from The Bachelor, but she is known for tandem nursing. Her daughter was breast-fed for 26 months and she feels that nursing a 4-year-old is perfectly normal.

8. Coco Austin

She breastfeeds her 5 1/2-year-old daughter at the age of 43 and cherishes the experience. Even though the child also enjoys regular food, breastfeeding helps them to stay bonded and she can give comfort in that way.
